Established 1949
Jaidinger Mfg. Co., Inc., Jaico Products was established in Chicago by John H. Jaidinger.
John H. Jaidinger’s curiosity and innovation was evident from an early age. His interest in invention foreshadowed a remarkable future. Through the years he graduated to the position of vice-president at a prominent machining and tooling company that supplied the war effort during the Second World War. But life took an unexpected turn when the company’s owner passed away suddenly. John realized it was time to forge his own path.
John used his personal savings and borrowed additional funds from family members who believed in his vision. With unwavering determination, Jaidinger Manufacturing was created. The modest workshop hummed with promise while John’s creative spark, ideas of refinement and drive for improvement earned him seven patents for relays and switches.
In 1991, leadership shifted to John S. Jaidinger. Under his guidance, Jaidinger Manufacturing climbed to new heights. John S. Jaidinger diversified the company through his relationships with vendors and customers fueling global expansion. The company also thrived with strategic acquisitions that boosted manufacturing capabilities. This growth led to expansion to an additional 20,000 square foot facility. In 2022, John S. Jaidinger was inducted into the Pinball Expo Hall of Fame for his service and support in the pinball industry.
Today, Jaidinger Manufacturing stands as evidence of the importance of family values and steadfast commitment. Seven family members, spanning second, third, and fourth generations, continue to contribute their expertise. Their collective vision propels the company forward while remaining agile, adaptive, and poised for the future.
